When Doris Bailey Spencer's son started first grade, she decided to pursue a dream she'd had since high school — to develop a career in art. Doris returned to school and, in 2009, completed an Associate's degree in Visual Communications with an emphasis in web design. Doris also has a Master's degree in Social Work and worked for many years as a social worker. Many of Doris' job responsibilities as a social worker involved public relations and marketing.
Doris' work as a freelance web and graphic designer has now evolved into Sustainabella Design LLC. Sustainabella Design seeks to promote an environmentally-conscious lifestyle and work ethic as well as an appreciation for cultural diversity. Clients of Sustainabella Design have included individuals, small businesses, a large corporation, and non-profit organizations.
A native of North Carolina, Doris Bailey came to Louisville, Kentucky in 1982 after having lived two years in Caracas, Venezuela. Doris is bilingual in Spanish and English and enjoys working with Jefferson County Public Schools during the school year as a substitute bilingual instructor.
